Comfortable room with quiet AC, but street noise made sleeping tough.

The bathroom was akin to an ice block without a fan, which was quite uncomfortable!!! The hallway lights illuminating the night were a tad distracting through the doors, leading to some unwanted brightness!!! Kids found the sofa bed not super comfortable!!!

Perfect for a short escape

Had a real nice time at this charming spot. The staff was genuinely helpful, making check-in smooth and welcoming. The cared about their job and it showed.

It wasn’t exactly cheap, but for the quality, it felt acceptable.

oh, and the bathroom? freezing, without any fan. I simply expected some sort of welcome gift to make up for such inconveniences, but I guess that's too much for this place to handle.

I truly appreciated the beautiful old features of The Rex Hotel Porto, especially the charming terrace in my Comfort Double Room with views over the gardens. The breakfast was delightful, with a variety of fresh pastries and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming.

I stayed in the Superior Double Room with a terrace for 5 nights, and it was so nice! The room was super clean and spacious. The terrace was perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine. The air conditioner worked great, which is always a win. Just keep in mind the walk to the riverfront is about 20 minutes, so wear comfy shoes!

The stay was just what I needed to explore Porto. I loved the spacious and comfortable superior room with the terrace where I could unwind after a day of walking. While it was a bit of a trek to the riverfront, I found myself situated close to multiple attractions like the iconic Clerigos Tower. Just be mindful of the walk back, especially at night.

Charming old hotel with great atmosphere

I absolutely loved the charm of this old hotel, especially the beautiful plasterwork on the ceilings and the spacious rooms. The location was perfect for exploring Porto. we could easily walk to major sights and felt safe at night. The staff were genuinely nice and helpful, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. However, I do think they could improve their breakfast options a bit as they were quite limited.

Just a good match for a stopover in Porto with decent value for money. I appreciated the friendly staff who made check-in easy and welcoming. Remember to request a room further from the street for a quieter stay.

We had a cozy stay in the Grand Deluxe Double Room with our kiddo. The large room was clean and offered a beautiful terrace where we enjoyed relaxing evenings. Breakfast was good, and the powerful shower was a fantastic perk!

In my wife's opinion, the noise from the street made it hard for us to sleep well.

A bit of a climb back from the center could be tiring after a long day exploring. Also, having a stirring utensil for tea would be a nice touch!
